Five Man Free For All
You gather around the war table for an afternoon of snacks, drinks, small talk and A&A. As luck would have it you been teamed up with Crazy Ivan, the Russian General that buys 3 Transports in round 1 -- not again! You are tired of being teamed up with a "loser", especially since he never owns up to his poor play. It's time for a change. Every general for himself... a Five Man Free For All!
Rules Clarifications
1) There are no formal alliances. You enter into treaties at your risk. These treaties may be violated at the discretion of the individual party. Parties may not exchange units or weapons developments. They may however use a Lend Lease as describe below to exchange funds.
2) Lend Lease. During the purchasing phase of your turn, you may choose to "give money" to another player. For the price of $6 a roll you may purchase the opportunity to roll a six sided die. The roll of the die/dice determines how much money will go to the other player.
Example: The US player decides he would like to give some support to the Russian player. He purchases two 6 sided dice for a total of $12. The money goes into the bank. He rolls a 3 and a 5. The Russian player receives $8 from the bank.
3) There will be no mixing of forces. Moving units into another players territory is considered a combat move.
New Deployment and Land Values
The following changes help to balance the power in the game. Each country will now start with an equal amount of land value and cash. Also, certain units have been added, re-positioned or removed from the game. This system does completely bring the game into balance, but hopefully the "temporary" alliances made during the game and the strategy employed will complete the balancing of the scales. War is not perfect.
